General Communication, Inc. (“GCI”) was unable to file its Form 10-Q with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) for the period ended September 30, 2008 before the due date for such report.  In accordance with Nasdaq’s rules, on November 19, 2008, GCI received a Nasdaq staff determination letter stating that GCI is not in compliance with Nasdaq Marketplace Rule 4310(c)(14) because it has not timely filed with Nasdaq its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.

The letter states that GCI has 60 calendar days to submit a plan to regain compliance.

GCI filed its September 30, 2008 Form 10-Q with the SEC on November 21, 2008 and, with this filing, has retained compliance.  GCI has also responded to Nasdaq that it has regained compliance.
