GCI Annual Shareholders' Meeting Scheduled for Monday, June 29

ANCHORAGE, Alaska, June 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GCI (Nasdaq: GNCMA) will hold its annual shareholders meeting on Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Alaska/Denali Ballroom at the Hilton Anchorage Hotel.

A 5 p.m. reception will be followed by a 6 p.m. business meeting, which will include the election of four individuals to serve on the company's Board of Directors and approval of a proposed amendment to the Company's Stock Option Plan to permit a one-time offer of exchange of certain options granted under the Plan for grants of certain stock awards under the Plan. Immediately after the business meeting, GCI President Ron Duncan will give a brief presentation regarding the company's performance and its economic outlook. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.
